IKNL (Integral Cancer Center Netherlands) asked our partner BeSpark to realize the design of their new office at Hoog Catharijne. The goal? To create a space that retains the industrial flair of the former V&D building, while integrating color and nature into a functional and inspiring office. The demand for diverse meeting rooms and privacy providing call cells was key, with the ambition to ensure an open and inspiring atmosphere.
Faced with the challenge of a large, open floor and the integration of existing facilities, it was clear that traditional walls were not enough. Our meeting at the Design District trade show inspired the architects at BeSpark; our spaces, with their flexibility and diverse design options, aligned perfectly with their vision for this project. Because of the different sizes and design options of the boxes, we were able to fill the space the way we wanted. We provided a total of 27 BOW spaces, ranging from compact call boxes to spacious meeting rooms, all designed to maintain the open character of the building. These spaces not only enhance the open atmosphere but also seamlessly meet IKNL's functional requirements.
BeSpark experienced the cooperation with BOW as very pleasant. Fast and transparent communication during the design process and flawless execution by a reliable team of mechanics. Everything went according to schedule. The ability to customize the spaces in color and function made it possible to make the ideas of BeSpark's architects a reality, resulting in a custom made result. Our joint efforts resulted in a workplace that not only honors the industrial aesthetic of the building but also provides a modern, functional office space.
